Fabric for hotel pillowcases: Agree on material and specifications before ordering
Choose hotel pillowcase fabric alongside the pillow insert dimensions, construction and bedding design. Specify the fabric code, surface, width and pillowcase quantity so the workshop can plan material requirements.
Start with the finished pillowcase
Record pillowcase dimensions, closure construction and any decorative details. List different pillow sizes separately. Finished dimensions are not cutting dimensions; the workshop should establish seam allowances and construction before calculating metres.
Agree on stripe direction in the specification. When matching existing sheets or duvet covers, provide a sample or the existing set specifications rather than requesting only “white fabric”.
Compare individual Cotton and CVC codes
T233 Cotton is 100% Cotton, 130gsm and 240cm wide, available only in plain white. T250 CVC is 55% Cotton / 45% Microfiber, 147gsm, in 240/260/280cm widths, with plain white and white 3cm stripe options.
T300 CVC is 80% Cotton / 20% Microfiber, 135gsm, in 260/280cm widths. T350 Cotton is 100% Cotton, 127gsm and 280cm wide. Both offer plain white and white 3cm stripes. Product names or GSM alone do not establish performance.
Select width using the cutting layout
Ask the workshop to arrange the cutting pieces within each suitable fabric width, considering stripe direction, piece count and unusable selvage. A wider fabric does not automatically mean a lower material cost per pillowcase.
Compare alternatives using total metres required and the corresponding unit prices. Allowances should follow the actual cutting plan rather than an unverified standard percentage.
Information for a relevant quotation
Prepare the fabric code, plain white or 3cm stripes, width, estimated metres and pillowcase quantity. If metres are unknown, state the finished quantity and consult the workshop before finalising material requirements.
VTEX lets you include multiple codes in one request to discuss alternatives. Prices and supply terms are confirmed for the specific request; this article does not automatically confirm them.
