The basics / VTEX
TC and reading VTEX fabric specifications
Distinguish yarn specifications from density under VTEX's convention and read each product code correctly.
Read fields separately
TC (Thread Count) is commonly used to describe thread density in textiles. Do not treat a product-range name as a verified measurement result.
Yarn specifications and VTEX density
For example, T300 CVC has yarn specifications of 40s × 60s and density of 173s × 123s under VTEX's convention. These are separate fields.
The s in these density values is VTEX's internal notation for thread figures. Retain the notation as written; do not interpret it as a standard density unit or convert it to threads per inch.
