Fabric reorders / VTEX
Reordering hotel bedding fabric: Recording codes and specifications
A bedding fabric reorder should identify more than “the same as last time”. A short record of the previous purchase helps the hotel, workshop and supplier compare the correct fabric before discussing a new order.
What should you keep after the first purchase?
Keep the agreed code, composition, GSM, width, colour and surface. Associate these details with the relevant order or document. Label retained samples with the code and purchase reference.
Do not use a screenshot or phone photo as the sole colour reference. Images help identification, while physical samples and transaction records should be compared when matching existing bedding.
Keep similar product names distinct
T200 is one unified Microfiber 120gsm line. Poly 120gsm plain/stripe is also a separate line. Equal GSM does not make them interchangeable; select the correct product page and review its attributes before submitting.
Published T200 stripe colours are white, Blue (Duong), Blue (Lam) and grey. White comes in 240/260/280cm widths; coloured stripes are 240cm only. Revisit the cutting plan if a colour change also changes the usable width.
Discuss matching existing bedding
State whether the new fabric will make complete new sets or replace individual pieces in existing sets. Discuss these requirements separately, particularly colour and stripe direction. Provide the previous code and a reference sample where available.
Do not assume that the same code guarantees identical batches in every respect. Discuss comparison criteria and how differences will be handled before ordering; this guide does not set tolerances in place of an agreement.
Make the reorder request clear
State the additional metres, width, colour, surface, delivery area and intended timing. Include a previous VTEX request reference in the notes where available. A new request does not confirm stock availability or delivery timing.
Add any alternative as a separate line and explain its purpose. This distinguishes the required reorder from an option under consideration and helps avoid unintended substitutions.
